dubois: Palm Islands, Queensland. a fifty year old timber jetty and the only access to this tropical island resort had finally given out and required urgent replacement.
a new jetty structure was designed with the addition of a simple shaded pavilion structure located at its end for guest lounging and dining.
a new floating pontoon and boat ramp was included for docking of the island’s water vessel’s regularly heading out to explore the great barrier reef.
the south guest rooms required a refresh; new furniture selections, bathroom renovations with natural coloured tiles and timber floorboards to enhance the tropical feel from inside to outside.
