the ville resort – casino:

dubois: Townsville, Queensland.  a new acquisition for an operator with a vision to fully refurbish and update an existing resort-casino in Townsville, North Queensland.

we were asked to reinvigorate three entire floor levels, totalling sixty guests rooms and six premium suites.

the brief called for authentic Queensland, retro cool and tropical.

a custom carpet was designed featuring an over-sized and abstracted palm-leaf motif in cool shades of tropical greens.

to reference the traditional style of Queensland’s heritage homes, v-groove lining boards are used to enclose the robe and line the open luggage store which also flows into the rooms head board and bathrooms. The furniture pieces are carefully selected to exude a contemporary and cool aesthetic.
